This week’s Coachella 2012 Artist is The Shins! Thank you Zach Braff for turning me onto them.
I decided to post their song New Slang because it’s not only their most famous song, but if you’ve never listened to The Shins, it’s a great place to start. Not only is it a great song, it’s great songwriting. Natalie Portman’s character in Garden State was right when she said this song would change your life.
I am eagerly anticipating their new album Port of Morrow. If you’ve heard the single Simple Song, you would be too. Even more so than their album, I’m anticipating their performance at Coachella this year.
